Mr Kasper Wan, the founder of Gender Empowerment, co-hosted a sharing session with student representatives from Rainbow Bird to address the needs and challenges faced by transgender individuals, particularly transgender youth, in Hong Kong. The session clarified the definition and concept of transgender, highlighted common issues faced by trans youth both in the past and present, and advocated for a more supportive campus environment. Participants were encouraged to move from being quiet supporters to active advocates at various events. By the end of the session, participants actively engaged with the speakers, fostering conversations about gender and sexuality and successfully raising awareness of various topics within the LGBTQ+ spectrum.
